Based upon a prototype layout furnished by Choice Hotels, the hotel was unique configured in an L shape due to the limitations presented by the site. This is one of the first Mainstay Suites; and due to the many upgrades made to the prototype in this facility, it has been designated a “Resort” in the marketing materials of the parent corporation. The brick base and lapsided exterior present an image reminiscent of the large, rambling inns once found in resort locations throughout the South. The entrance trellis laden with wisteria sets the stage for a warm, hospitable reception.
